Draw a Tarot Card
Draw a card from the full 78-card deck and discover its meaning
What is tarot?
Tarot is a system of 78 cards used for centuries for reflection, meditation and seeking inner answers. The deck has two main groups: 22 Major Arcana cards, which symbolise important life themes and archetypes, and 56 Minor Arcana cards in four suits: Cups, Pentacles, Swords and Wands. Our tool draws a card from the full 78-card deck, upright or reversed, and shows its meaning.
Major Arcana - 22 cards of fate
The Major Arcana are 22 cards numbered from 0 (The Fool) to 21 (The World). They represent major life themes, spiritual lessons and archetypes - from the Fool's innocence, through Death's transformation, to The World's fulfilment. They include: The Fool, The Magician, The High Priestess, The Empress, The Emperor, The Hierophant, The Lovers, The Chariot, Strength, The Hermit, Wheel of Fortune, Justice, The Hanged Man, Death, Temperance, The Devil, The Tower, The Star, The Moon, The Sun, Judgement and The World.
Minor Arcana - 56 cards of daily life
- Cups - Emotions, feelings, relationships, intuition (water element)
- Pentacles - Finance, work, health, material world (earth element)
- Swords - Thoughts, conflict, communication, intellect (air element)
- Wands - Passion, energy, creativity, action (fire element)
Upright vs reversed
Each tarot card can appear in two positions: upright and reversed. Upright usually indicates the positive or direct meaning of the card, while reversed can suggest blocks, challenges or inner aspects of the theme. A reversed card does not always mean something negative - it often invites deeper reflection.
