Cat Years to Human Years - Cat Age Calculator
Our cat years calculator converts your cat's age to human years. The "multiply by 7" rule is a simplification. Cats age quickly in the first two years, then the rate slows down.
Why multiply by 7 doesn't work
A 1-year-old cat is more mature than a 7-year-old child. According to AAHA, a cat after the first year is roughly equivalent to a 15-year-old human, and after the second year to a 24-year-old. Each additional year is about 4 human years.
